Type of futsal pitch and futsal shoes

Futsal has different type of pitch. Futsal pitch commonly use a synthetic turf, synthetic surface, parquet floor or on a concrete.

Because of the different surface, the futsal shoes are also different.

Generally to compensate this surface, there is only 2 types of shoes that is needed.

1. Sole made up mainly of rubber resin, allowing a significant adherence on all types of surface
2. A rough surface of shoe sole to allow grip at turf or grassy like pitch

Generally the type 1 shoes are the most common since the pitch is majority a non-turf pitch.

Ball Kicking Technique(Futsal)


Ball kicking technique is important in Futsal sport. By improving this technique, passing and shooting will become improve to.

The image above shows 3 colored circles, this circle shows how the ball will behave if you kick using that part of foot. The non-kicking foot provides support, and should be bent as you kick.
Red circle is use to produce in swinger ball, accurate passing, accurate shooting.
Yellow circle, lob the ball, shooting air ball, shoot ground level ball.
Green circle, out swinger ball, low ball.
To be careful, when kicking the ball, don’t use your toe, it is wrong and painful. While shooting do not hit the ground, your ankle may be injured if this happen. Ankle injury will let you off the futsal pitch for months, so careful.
To practice with less injury probability, use comfortable futsal shoes, do not shoot with full force at start, and try shooting in grass plain.

Training Futsal Alone

If you are not in the pitch, the training can still be done.
Image above shows how you can train futsal alone.
Kick the ball to the wall and then try to contain it before it touches the ground.
You may also juggle the ball with continuously hitting the wall.
Try how well you can contain the ball.
This drills will teach your leg how to be fast but still in control.
The longer you do, you will noticed that the ball is more predictable and you skills will get higher.

Marking Player


Marking the opponent is very important in term of defensive in futsal. By marking the opponent player by 1:1, it will surely reduce the chance of letting off goal.


That is the most basic type of defensive.


When marking the challenger there is also proper technique to use, your body should be in a slightly crouched but stable position with your eyes focused on the opponent's hips and conscious of the immediate surroundings through peripheral vision.


Your distance from the futsal opponent depends on the skills of both of you as well as on the position of the marking.


The more skilled the opponent the further distant the marking, the nearer you are to your futsal goal the closer the marking should be.

Physical needs in futsal sport



This topic tries to avoid the skills and technique that differ from one individual to another, but focusing on just physical need of a normal person.
Stamina, this is a big issue in futsal sport. For a beginner that does not know how to dribble well, if this person has a high stamina, give him the time playing futsal and he will gradually improve.

In order to improve, one must have the stamina to run and challenge the opposition player, by doing this the experience learn from match to match will soon educate him to become good to. Without stamina, improvement in futsal sport is also radically reduced.

So tips to the beginner, the key to futsal improvement is in stamina. If you can run through the whole game, you can be fairly good in no time.
